Iconic gets FDA approval to sell gloves in US

Managing director Datuk Tan Kean Tet said the approval was timely as the group had just started operations of its new PPE manufacturing facility for gloves and medical face masks in Batu Kawan, Penang.

KUALA LUMPUR: Iconic Worldwide Bhd, through wholly-owned subsidiary Iconic Medicare Sdn Bhd, has received the approval to market and sell nitrile examination powder-free gloves throughout the United States.

Iconic Medicare obtained the 510(k) premarket notification clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Dec 14, according to the Bursa Malaysia-listed tourism player, which last year diversified into the manufacture of personal protective equipment (PPE).
