PETALING JAYA: A return to growth for Malaysia will involve an acceleration of trade and investment connections among its neighbours as the country slowly emerges from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
HSBC Malaysia head of global banking Christina Cheah told StarBiz that the ongoing government trade and investment reform could help “grease the wheels” in areas like further tariff removals or simplifying non-tariff barriers, and lifting investment thresholds.
