Focus Lumber to gain from stronger greenback

PETALING JAYA: Focus Lumber Bhd (FLB) is expected to sustain or record better quarter-on-quarter (q-o-q) earnings due to higher demand and average selling prices (ASP) for plywood.

The stronger US dollar will also help the wood product exporter overcome cost pressures arising from higher operational and material costs which are mainly denominated in ringgit, Hong Leong Investment Bank (HLIB) Research stated in a report yesterday.
