Samsung Engineering wins RM3bil plant job


The job will involve building an onshore gas plant (OGP) for Sarawak Shell’s Rosmari Marjoram project in Bintulu.

KUCHING: Samsung Engineering of South Korea says it has secured a US$680mil (RM3.02bil) contract from Sarawak Shell Bhd.

The job will involve building an onshore gas plant (OGP) for Sarawak Shell’s Rosmari Marjoram project in Bintulu.

Samsung Engineering said in a statement the contract was for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of the plant.

“The plant will have the capacity to process up to 800 million cu ft of gas per day. The OGP project’s ready-for-startup is expected to be accomplished by the end of 2025,” it said. — Bernama
