PETALING JAYA: The higher demand for electricity, led by the country’s transition to the endemic phase, and export sales, are likely to lift Southern Cable Group Bhd’s (SCG) earnings.

The demand for power cables from the private sector has picked up on strong foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows, and is coming from Batu Kawan industrial in Penang and Kulim Hi-Tech Park in Kedah, said Hong Leong Investment Bank (HLIB) Research.
