A greener and sustainable TNB

TNB president and cheif executive officer Datuk Baharin Din, in a media briefing, said this would involve several segments of the group, including the power generation unit TNB Power Generation Sdn Bhd, the new energy division, the electricity grid and the development of an electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem in Malaysia.

KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) is putting its environment, social and governance (ESG) along with its sustainability plans on a fast-track with several targeted initiatives that would cut across the electricity provider’s value chain.

This would see the group move quicker towards its pursuit of net-zero emissions by 2050, an aspiration that it had announced last year.
