Four MNOs take up stakes in DNB


PETALING JAYA: Four mobile network operators (MNOs) have inked share subscription agreements (SSAs) to take up equity stakes in Digital Nasional Bhd (DNB), the government-owned special-purpose vehicle (SPV) to undertake deployment of 5G network and infrastructure nationwide on an accelerated schedule.

Celcom Axiata Bhd, Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd, YTL Communications Sdn Bhd and Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM), will jointly take up 65% of stakes in DNB, with the government retaining the remaining 35% along with a golden share, DNB stated in a statement yesterday.
