AAX given extension till April 28 next year to submit regularisation plan


KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia X Bhd (AAX) has been granted a time extension of up to April 28, 2023, to submit its regularisation plan to the regulatory authorities.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, AmInvestment Bank Bhd announced on behalf of the Practice Note 17 (PN17) company that Bursa Malaysia Securities had given the extension to AAX vide its letter dated Nov 1, 2022.

The long-haul budget airline slipped into PN17 status on Nov 1, 2021, after external auditor Ernst & Young PLT expressed a disclaimer of opinion on its audited financial statements for the 18-month financial period ended June 30, 2021.

At 10.57 am, AAX shares eased half-a-sen to 37.5 sen with 79,400 shares changing hands. - Bernama
