Services Producer Price Index up 3% in Q3


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s Services Producer Price Index (SPPI) went up three per cent in the third quarter of 2022 (Q3 2022) to 113.8 compared to 110.5 in the same quarter last year, the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) said.

The increase in the SPPI was driven by the growth in the arts, entertainment and recreation (7.5 per cent), accommodation and food and beverage (F&B) service activities (7.0 per cent), transportation (4.9 per cent) and education (1.1 per cent) indices.
