Agrobank appoints Yunos Abd Ghani as independent non-executive chairman

KUALA LUMPUR: Agrobank has appointed Datuk Yunos Abd Ghani as its independent non-executive chairman with effect from Nov 12, 2022, following the completion of Datuk Mustapha Buang’s two-year tenure on Nov 11, 2022.

In a statement today, it said Yunos is currently a member of the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB), a council member of Association of the Development Finance Institutions Malaysia (ADFIM), the director of World Savings and Retail Banking Institute and the treasurer of Malaysian Statutory Bodies Association.

It said he held a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Eastern Michigan University, United State and a Diploma of Business Studies and Management from Universiti Teknologi MARA.

Meanwhile, the bank has expressed its gratitude and appreciation to Mustapha for his role in helping the bank’s business thrive as Malaysia braves the economic storm set upon by the COVID-19 pandemic.

It added that he has also been instrumental in contributing to the bank’s coffers with sound economic management while having a strong financial system at its core. - Bernama
