Trading ideas: Hartalega, Advancecon, Apex, APM, Jaycorp


KUALA LUMPUR: Hartalega Holdings Bhd, Advancecon Holdings Bhd, Apex Equity Holdings Bhd, APM Automotive Holdings Bhd and Jaycorp Bhd are among the stocks to watch today, according to Apex Security.

Hartalega is buying a land in the Delapan Special Border Economic Zone, Bukit Kayu Hitam for RM54.32mil as part of its expansion plan.

Advancecon has secured subcontract works worth RM86.75mil from KEB Builders Sdn Bhd.

ACE Group has disposed of the bulk of its stake in Apex Equity after selling 27.04 million shares or a 13.34% stake in the open market on Dec 9.

APM Automotive announced that the EPF has ceased to be a substantial shareholder of the company, as the pension fund's stake dropped below 5%.

Jaycorp’s net profit for its 1QFY2023 surged 244.67% YoY to RM10.31mil, mainly due to a gain on the deemed disposal of a subsidiary.

Overnight, the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 103.60 points, or 0.3%, to 34,108.64. The S&P 500 added 0.73% to 4,019.65. The Nasdaq Composite rose 1.01% to 11,256.81.

“We expect the index to climb towards the resistance of 1,500 points in the next two weeks due to window dressing,” Apex said.
