Keith Ooi named Knight Frank Malaysia's group managing director

KUALA LUMPUR: Knight Frank Malaysia has announced the promotion of Keith HY Ooi to group managing director effective January 2023 as part of the real estate consultancy’s succession plan and in line with its growth strategy.

In a statement today, the company said Ooi plans to elevate the premier real estate brand with his personal mantra of 4Es - to empower, engage, embrace and expand.

Knight Frank Malaysia said that his strategy includes empowering the people at Knight Frank Malaysia to make a difference within the company, engaging stakeholders to improve service, embracing change and digital adoption, as well as expanding the company’s presence to other states in Malaysia.

Knight Frank Malaysia, which commemorated its 20th anniversary last year, is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur and has branches in Penang, Johor and Kota Kinabalu.

His promotion will also trigger the line upwards with Sarkunan Subramaniam being promoted to group executive chairman and Eric Ooi continuing to serve as group founder and advisor.

Keith, who joined the company in 2007, was country head of Knight Frank Cambodia before returning to co-head the valuation and advisory business in Malaysia. - Bernama
