All-new Toyota Vios gets more than 5,000 orders since Feb 24

KUALA LUMPUR: UMW Toyota Motor has unveiled its fourth-generation edition of Toyota Vios with more than 5,000 orders to date since the announcement of the order-taking on Feb 24, 2023.

UMW Toyota Motor president Datuk Ravindran K. said this is a testament to the popularity of the All-New Toyota Vios in the Malaysian market.

"We look forward to a promising year ahead, full of opportunities to drive Malaysia’s economic growth and development,” he said in a statement today.

Manufactured at the Assembly Services Sdn Bhd in Bukit Raja, Klang, the new and highly anticipated model boasts of improved performance, quicker acceleration and new technology.

The proven 1.5-litre Dual Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) Dual Variable Valve Timing-Intelligence (VVT-i) engine has been improved to deliver stronger performance while a new 7-speed Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with Sequential Shiftmatic gives quicker acceleration as well as enhances fuel efficiency.

The new edition also comes with Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) which offers better safety features for both driver and passengers using advanced technology -- it alerts the driver of dangers and acts autonomously to prevent or avoid a collision.

New features such as paddle shifters and electronic parking brakes add convenience to all drivers.

Ravindran said the use of advanced technology in the assembly of the All-New Toyota Vios not only enhances the quality and efficiency of production but also promotes the upskilling of the workforce, fosters knowledge expansion within the industry and contributes positively to the local economy.

Customers get a wide range of options, thanks to multiple variants and accessories to help customers customise their vehicles to their preferences.

The All-New Vios is offered in two variants of automatic transmission (AT), the 1.5 G (AT) and the 1.5 E (AT) - available in five colour options with Spicy Scarlet being a new choice and comes with a 5-year warranty and unlimited mileage.
