First phase of NCT Smart Industrial Park to complete by early 2025

SEPANG: Property developer NCT Group of Companies expects the first phase development of its first certified managed industrial park of its kind, NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP), to be completed by early 2025.

Managed industrial park is a gated and guarded industrial park certified by the local state authorities.

Comprising a total of three phases, the first phase of NSIP will consist of 101 units and 27 plots featuring semi-detached factories, detached factories, link-detached factories and industrial plots ranging from up to 20.23 hectares with gross development value of RM2 billion.

NCT Group founder and group managing director Datuk Seri Yap Ngan Choy (pic) said the industrial park marked a major step forward in the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies as it encouraged collaboration and innovation, leading the way for businesses to step away of the curve.

"With a project of this magnitude currently underway, we look forward to creating more than 50,000 jobs during construction, along with numerous employment opportunities for Malaysians when it is completed," he said at the NSIP groundbreaking ceremony here today.

Also present at the event was Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

NSIP is located at the Integrated Development Region in South Selangor (Idriss) in Sepang, with a gross development value of RM10 billion.

As a key project of Idriss, NSIP will feature the latest advancements in digitalisation and automation such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things technology and data analytics.

To-date, NCT Group had secured 40 per cent booking for the NSIP first-phase development, Yap said, noting that the project also attracted interest from foreign investors including from the United States.

By harnessing the power of digitalisation, NSIP aims to create intelligent, connected systems that enable seamless operations while streamlining end-to-end process flows from its investors, as the park becomes the hub for electrical and electronics, semiconductor, smart logistics, and transportation as well as fourth industrial-inspired industries.

"With the support of Invest Selangor, Malaysian Investment Development Authority and the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, we are pleased to share that NSIP has successfully secured its first investor, YuePu, for the purchase of a 19.46-hectare land plot," said Yap. - Bernama
