A property play in the making at DRB-Hicom?

Analysts says DRB-Hicom could undertake a mixed development of the real estate, considering the potentially higher value that can be extracted, and the returns could go to paring down debt or funding Proton’s future plans.

AMID all the buzz about the Automotive High-Tech Valley (AHTV) in Tanjong Malim, Perak, one interesting aspect of the development is that DRB-Hicom Bhd will end up with a valuable piece of land in Shah Alam, Selangor.

This is because it intends to fully relocate the manufacturing facilities of Proton Holdings Bhd to Tanjong Malim by 2026.
