Sunview gets RM59mil facility to fund solar PV plant

PETALING JAYA: Sunview Group Bhd has secured a financing facility of up to RM58.9mil to fund the development of a large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Kuala Langat.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Sunview said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Fabulous Sunview Sdn Bhd, had accepted the loan facility from United Overseas Bank (M) Bhd.

“The facilities are expected to contribute positively to the earnings of Sunview once they are utilised to generate future income for the company and its subsidiaries,” it said.

In March, Fabulous Sunview tied-up with Kulim Technology Park Corp Sdn Bhd to develop rooftop and large-scale solar PV projects at the Kulim Hi-Tech Park.

Sunview said the two-year tie-up will see it becoming the technical partner in the collaboration and provide services such as installation of solar PV panels, system mechanical and electrical installation, operations and management services, project management, as well as liaison with the relevant authorities for the adoption of solar renewable energy.
