Leong Sir Ley takes over Yong Tai’s helm

KUALA LUMPUR: Sheng Tai International founder and chairman Datuk Leong Sir Ley has emerged as the single largest shareholder of Yong Tai Bhd with a 23.8% stake via Domain Capital Sdn Bhd effective May 10.

Domain Capital has acquired 90 million shares, representing a 23.8% stake in Yong Tai.

Leong becomes the new managing director and CEO of Yong Tai, taking over from Datuk Wira Boo Kuang Loon who stepped down as CEO.

“This acquisition was a strategic move to strengthen our base, while continuing to support future business growth,” Leong said in a statement.

She will be ably supported in her new role by Collin Tan Yoong Wei who will be Yong Tai’s new group chief operating officer and Tyson See Tai Soon who will be the group’s new executive director.
