Capital A to increase awareness on sustainability across units

PETALING JAYA: Capital A Bhd will focus on internalising its Sustainability Redbook and Sustainability Policy within the next few months by increasing awareness across its operations and empowering its entities of creating shared sustainable value for all.

Capital A is also looking to enhance its base maintenance capacity to serve AirAsia and also grab the opportunity to serve other third-party airlines, which it said is the perfect time for the company to support Asia Digital Engineering Sdn Bhd’s Asean expansion plan this year. Capital A recorded a 212% year-on-year increase in revenue to RM2.53bil in its first quarter ended March 31.

This was due to strong demand from domestic and international travel following the relaxation of travel and entry requirements.

Earnings for the period grew 106% to RM57mil or earnings per share of 1.4 sen in the quarter, in which it had a share of profit of RM13.6mil from associates and foreign exchange gain of RM44.8mil due to the appreciation of local currencies against the US dollar.
