Mindshare M’sia tops COMvergence FY22 ranking

PETALING JAYA: Mindshare Group, the largest agency group within GroupM Malaysia, had a fantastic year in 2022, with US$56mil (RM258.2mil) worth of new business contributed by Mindshare and its sister agency m/SIX.

The two agencies collectively won 13 new clients, out of which 10 clients were won by Mindshare.

This placed them on the top of the rankings for financial year 2022 (FY22).

This is according to data released by COMvergence New Business Ranking for FY22.

COMvergence is an independent and international research bureau measuring the performance of major global ad and media agencies.

Mindshare Group chief executive officer Sheila Shanmugam in a statement said: “For a large agency the good growth can only happen by creating innovative new business opportunities.

“This is by especially exploring new growth areas such as local businesses, government institutions and underserved SME markets.

“We leverage on our global alliance to benefit local businesses.”

The total value of new businesses for 2022 was US$127mil (RM585.5mil).

Mindshare Group won 44% of all new business billings in Malaysia.
