KUALA LUMPUR: Aeon Credit Service (M) Bhd has made its second issuance of sukuk wakalah under the Islamic commercial papers (ICP) programme of RM80 million in nominal value and a six-month tenure from the date of issuance.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, AEON Credit said the proceeds raised from the issuance would be utilised for shariah-compliant purposes.
"The proceeds will be used for financing disbursements to customers in the ordinary course of business of providing consumer financing based on shariah principle, expenses relating to the ICP programme as well as refinancing any existing and future Islamic financing facilities,” it said.
The non-bank financial services provider issued the first sukuk wakalah of RM50 million on March 9, 2023. - Bernama
