Betamek inks MoU with Shenzen Zhonghong to develop new systems


KUALA LUMPUR: Betamek Bhd is partnering with Shenzen Zhonghong Technology Co Ltd to develop advanced driver assistance systems (Adas) and an automotive cockpit system as it explore opportunities in Asean.

In a statement, the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider said its wholly-owned subsidiary Betamek Electronics Sdn Bhd has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Shenzen Zhonghong to develop a range of new innovative products, including an intelligent cockpit system and advanced Adas that combines Internet of Things-connected technology with a safety design and intuitive user experience.

The collaboration will also explore other innovative technology solutions, including electronic and digital systems for the growing electric vehicle market.

Betamek managing director Mirzan Mahathir said Betamek is poised to scale up the industry value chain with its new partnership with Shenzen Zhonghong

“As digitalization becomes more prominent in new vehicles and the growing EV segment, we look forward to provide more value-added solutions in this core business and expand our footprint in the regional automotive space,” he added.
