Eversendai in tie-up with Adnoc for steel fab works

PETALING JAYA: Eversendai Corp Bhd’s subsidiary in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Eversendai Offshore RMC FZE, has inked a strategic collaboration agreement (SCA) with Abu Dhabi National Oil Co (Adnoc), which mandates steel fabrication works be performed at UAE-based fabrication facilities.

In a statement yesterday, Eversendai said the deal will see the fabrication business in the UAE and its whole supply chain be assured work from Adnoc, in support the UAE’s move to “Make It in the Emirates” – a plan to drive the indigenous industrial growth within the UAE.

“It’s the intention of Adnoc to facilitate the business opportunities between Adnoc and UAE steel fabricators for the next five years, whereby huge potential opportunities are expected within Adnoc’s project development programme,” the company said in a statement yesterday.

Eversendai is known for undertaking and executing highly complex structural steel projects. The group has seven steel fabrication factories located in Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Qatar, and India.

Eversendai, having a well-established waterfront fabrication facility in the UAE, was shortlisted and invited to be part of this SCA signing ceremony.

The group added it sees this collaboration as a tremendous opportunity and great potential to secure more Adnoc projects in coming years. This is expected to further enhance and develop the Eversendai Group as a whole.

“Eversendai is proud to be associated with Adnoc in this SCA and Eversendai Group’s fabrication capacity in the UAE is significant and believe Adnoc has a lot of upcoming opportunities for Eversendai to contribute positively to the campaign of ‘Make it in the Emirates’,” it said.
