Sime Property feted as Top 10 developer in BCI Asia Awards 2023

KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Property Bhd has been named one of Malaysia's Top 10 developers at the BCI Asia Awards 2023.

The Top 10 Developers award specifically recognises the 10 leading design and development enterprises with the greatest contribution to the built environment in the prior year, by the extent of their sustainability and confirmed local green building ratings.

Organised by BCI Central, the annual BCI Asia Awards gives recognition to developers and architecture firms that have built and designed the greatest volume of buildings in Asian markets including Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

“Sime Darby Property's ability to showcase creativity, quality, and sustainability has played a pivotal role in distinguishing itself and earning this prestigious accolade," said group managing director Datuk Azmir Merican in a statement.

"These accolades further strengthen our commitment to building sustainable townships and shaping prospects, reflecting our purpose as a Value Multiplier for people, businesses, economies, and the planet.

"Our dedication extends beyond property development, as we move to foster vibrant and enduring communities that enhance lives for generations to come," he added.

This year’s submission by Sime Darby Property included Detached Factories I & Twin Factories III, Twin Factories II, Ilham Residences 2, and Elmina Green 6 in the City of Elmina; Nadira 1 and The Detached Factories in Bandar Bukit Raja; Serenia Aqila in Serenia City; XME Business Park in Nilai Impian and Park One in Melawati.

Separately, Sime Darby Property won Gold for the Best Use of Data category and Silver for Best Performance Marketing Campaign, at the MDA d Awards 2023, which paid tribute to talents, agencies, brands, publishers and digital service providers that embrace and pioneer the use of digital technologies, creating an impact on the future of businesses and lives of consumers.
