ASB 3 Didik declares income distribution of 5c per unit

KUALA LUMPUR: Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd's (ASNB) fixed price fund Amanah Saham Bumiputera 3-Didik (ASB 3 Didik) has declared a total income distribution of RM368.15mil for the financial year ending June 30, 2023, representing a payout of five sen per unit.

In a statement, Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB), ASNB's holding company, said the distribution will be made to 312,476 unitholders who currently own 7.36 billion units.

The income distribution of ASB 3 Didik translates to total returns of 5%, outperforming its benchmark Maybank 12- month fixed deposit of 2.76% by 224 basis points.

As at June 26, 2023, ASB 3 Didik recorded a net realised income of RM346.41mil, derived from realised gains, dividend as well as other income from domestic and international investments.

PNB said domestic and international equity were the largest contributors to income at 41.46% and 29.75% of the overall portfolio, respectively.

"The fund’s performance and ability to generate income are attributed to its robust investment strategies, diversified portfolio, and vigilant monitoring of market trends and economic conditions.

"By managing risks and ensuring sustainable returns, the fund has been able to provide long-term growth for its unitholders.

"Regular performance monitoring, coupled with proactive risk management, has allowed ASB 3 Didik to consistently deliver competitive returns," said PNB.

It said the computation of income distribution for ASB 3 Didik is based on the average minimum monthly balance held throughout the financial year of the fund.

The distribution declared will be automatically reinvested into unitholders’ accounts on July 1, 2023, it added.

PNB said transactions for ASB 3 Didik at ASNB branches and agents, including all online channels and internet banking have been temporarily suspended from June 27 to 30, 2023, to facilitate the computation of the income distribution.

Unitholders may resume transactions at myASNB portal (www.myasnb.com.my), or via myASNB mobile application on July 1, 2023, or at any ASNB branches or agents nationwide on July 3, 2023.
