KUALA LUMPUR: HSS Engineers Bhd has inked its fifth memorandum of understanding (MoU) of preferred partnership with another Japanese engineering consultant firm called CTII.
In a statement, the engineering and project management consultant said its subsidiary HSS Engineering Sdn Bhd and CRII will explore opportunities in the region as well as participate in tenders for social-environmental infrastructure projects.
It said the projects it would tender for include water resources and supply management, flood mitigation and disaster management, as well as sewerage and drainage.
The parties will also team up in other infrastructure projects, such as transport, roads and highways, data centres, and smart cities.
“The signing of this MoU not only portends to ample construction and engineering opportunities in the region, as envisioned by top business leaderships in Japan, but also highlights HSS’ engineering expertise that is well recognised in the region.
“HSS can certainly play a significant role in various socio-environmental projects with our Japanese partners across many developing countries in the Asean region, India, and even in the many countries in the Middle East and North Africa region,” said HSS Engineers executive vice-chairman Tan Sri Kuna Sittampalam.
The MoU is HSS’ fifth such preferred partnership with a Japanese firm.
