Ni Hsin in Boustead Technology EV partnership

PETALING JAYA: Ni Hsin Group Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Ni Hsin EV Tech Sdn Bhd, has entered into a corporate agent agreement (CAA) with Boustead Technology Sdn Bhd.

Under the CAA, Ni Hsin EV Tech will appoint Boustead Technology as its agent to promote and market all kinds of electric vehicles (EVs) and accessories, including EBIXON EV motorcycles, exclusively within the internal workforce of Boustead group of companies.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Ni Hsin Group noted in consideration of Boustead Technology’s effort in marketing the products, Ni Hsin EV Tech will pay Boustead Technology an incentive for the sale achieved on a monthly basis.

Ni Hsin EV Tech managing director Khoo Chee Kong said the collaboration marked a significant step towards enhancing the visibility and accessibility of EBIXON EV motorcycles.

“We are very happy and excited to work with Boustead Technology as we see a synergistic collaboration. Boustead Technology is the second growth engine driver within the Boustead Group aiming to transform and reinvent the existing business landscape, through impactful technology adoption towards the environmental, social and governance (ESG) agenda, focusing on carbon management, blockchain and the Internet of Things,” he said in a statement.

The partnership will also propel the company’s ESG agenda while creating a green revenue stream in carbon trading, Khoo added.

Boustead Technology’s chief executive officer, Azril Hisham, said in line with the “Reinventing Boustead” initiative, the collaboration promoted sustainable living and encouraged the staff to reduce the carbon footprint across the group through the utilisation of EVs.
