Trading ideas: Sentral REIT, CapitaLand Malaysia, MGRC and Jerasia Capital


KUALA LUMPUR: Companies with recent corporate announcement include Sentral REIT, CapitaLand Malaysia, MGRC and Jerasia Capital, said Apex Research.

Sentral REIT is buying Menara CelcomDigi in Petaling Jaya, Selangor for RM450 million.

Capitaland Malaysia Trust (CLMT) 2Q23 net property income rose 51.8% to RM56.8 million.

Datin Seri Jacqueline Ngu Hia Kee has emerged as a substantial shareholder in Malaysian Genomics Resource Centre Bhd (MGRC) following her acquisition of seven million shares or a 5.1% stake in the company.

Jerasia Capital Bhd has managed to defer its July 26 delisting from Bursa Malaysia at the eleventh hour after appealing.

Meanwhile, the US market rose overnight with the Dow extending its winning streak to 12 days following stronger-than-expected corporate earnings.

Earlier, European markets climbed amid quarterly results. Investors are expecting a 25 basis-point rate hikes by the Federal Reserve and European Central Bank today and tomorrow respectively.

On the local market, the FBM KLCI surged 12.10 points or 0.85% to 1436.79 points.

"Following the recent bullish momentum, the FBM KLCI could take a breather under the resistance of 1,437 points," said Apex.
