Bosch opens chip test centre in Malaysia


BERLIN: Robert Bosch has opened a new test centre for chips and sensors in Penang for €65mil (RM323.2mil) and plans to invest a further €285mil (RM1.4bil) by the middle of the next decade, according to the German technology group.

Up to 400 jobs will be created by the mid-2030s, it added.

Bosch currently carries out most of the final testing of its semiconductors from its factories in Reutlingen, Germany, Suzhou, China as well as Hungary. — Reuters
