Astro and Qalbox in strategic pact


PETALING JAYA: Qalbox by Muslim Pro has joined forces with Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd to stream Muslim-focused content exclusively in Malaysia, in line with Muslim Pro’s aim of becoming the digital home for all things Muslim.

According to a statement, the strategic alliance represents a pivotal moment in the country’s entertainment landscape by offering Astro customers enriching Muslim-centric content.

“The collaboration further strengthens Muslim Pro’s dedication to serving the Muslim community in Malaysia by enhancing accessibility for users,” it said.

The partnership aimed to redefine entertainment by providing a dedicated space that celebrates Muslim culture and identity.Muslim Pro co-chief executive officer Fara Abdullah said the group’s vision is to establish itself as a global centre for Muslim culture and entertainment by offering a platform for Muslim creators and filmmakers.“With our diverse content offerings, we are confident that Qalbox will deeply resonate with the Malaysian audience, delivering an unparalleled entertainment experience,” she added.

Astro group chief financial officer Shafiq Abdul Jabbar said the collaboration would complement Astro’s robust content offering.“From Astro Signatures and Astro Originals, to the best in live sport and news to children’s animation, and now the rich diversity of Muslim culture globally, all within a simple touch of a button,” he said.
