UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) registered 8,349 units in July 2023, 26% higher compared with the 6,637 units delivered in July 2022. The top selling models for the month were the Toyota Vios, Hilux and Corolla Cross.

The strong sales in July was mainly attributed to the increase in production supported by the improving supply chain.

Moving forward, Perodua is expected to continue to fulfil its outstanding bookings as it expects to sell 314,000 units in 2023.

UMW Holdings Bhd president and group CEO Datuk Seri Ahmad Fuaad Kenali said both companies have continued to register higher sales so far this year compared with the same period of 2022.

“Moving forward, the group will continue to introduce competitive and exciting new models to meet its customers’ requirements. We would like to extend our appreciation to our customers for their continuous support of our products and services.”
