MAG activates BCP for some inflight meal services

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) will activate its business continuity plan (BCP) for inflight meal services on selected routes effective Sept 1, 2023, as its contract extension with Brahim’s Food Services expires today.

“During this transition, MAB will be serving the impacted routes with alternative inflight food and beverage, ensuring seamless operations while minimising any potential impact on customer comfort and experience.

“Other remaining routes will continue to be served by its current provider, POS Aviation,” said the parent of Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAB) in a statement yesterday.

On June 30, 2023, MAG received a formal notice from Brahim’s, which terminated the provision of catering services provided by the latter on selected domestic and international routes within the MAB network.

However, Brahim’s subsequently agreed to a two-month extension, ending on Aug 31, 2023.
