Trading ideas: Supermax, Opcom, Harvest Miracle, Scientex, Ramssol, Eco World International and PRG


KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks on investors' radar screen include Supermax, Opcom, Harvest Miracle, Scientex, Ramssol, Eco World International and PRG, said Apex Research.

The US has allowed imports from Supermax Corp Bhd, after customs authorities lifted a ban imposed on the company since October 2021 for alleged forced labour.

Opcom Holdings Bhd is buying a 18.03% stake or 70 million shares in Binasat Communications Bhd for RM39.2 million.

Harvest Miracle Capital Bhd has proposed to sell a 40% stake in its wholly owned subsidiary Viewnet Computer System Sdn Bhd (VCS) in a related party transaction for RM14 million,

Scientex Bhd’s 4QFT23 net profit was slightly lower at RM114.89 million.

Ramssol Group Bhd is buying a 10% stake in Elmu Education Group Sdn Bhd for RM1.5 million.

Eco World International Bhd (EWI)’s 3QFY23 net loss narrowed to RM12.3 million.

PRG's HK unit Furniweb to dispose of loss-making PVC firm for RM9 million.

Meanwhile, the US stock market declined overnight after the Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged but signalled another hike is coming.

Earlier, European stocks gained before the Fed’s rate decision.

On the local market, the FBM KLCI declined 6.1 points or 0.42% to 1451.56 points.

The FBM KLCI may continue to trade sideways and remain below the resistance level of 1,465 points, which has been a barrier for the index since July.
