IT has been abundantly clear that the unity government is placing heavy emphasis on transforming the way Malaysia is using energy, especially pertaining to its own net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emission aspiration by 2050.

The launch of the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) back in August has further outlined Putrajaya’s position on this matter, and as an example, the initiative has the goal of expanding the penetration of electric vehicles (EVs) in the country, with a 50% target expected to be achieved by 2040.
