Dnex bags RM18mil maritime platform job

PETALING JAYA: Dagang Nexchange Bhd (Dnex) subsidiary Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd has secured a contract worth RM18.08mil from Port Klang Authority (PKA) for the implementation of the Malaysia maritime single window (MMSW) system for the Transport Ministry.

Within the contract, Dnex is tasked with supplying, installing, developing, configuring, integrating, migrating, testing, commissioning, maintaining, and implementing phase one of the MMSW, a unified digital platform aimed to facilitate trade and shipping services at the national level.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Dnex said PKA was appointed as the executing agency to carry out phase one of the MMSW system on behalf of the Transport Ministry.

Dnex said the tenure of the MMSW project is for a period of three and a half years, from Oct 23, 2023 to April, 22, 2027.

“A central digital database will be developed to facilitate end-to-end information flow which in turn will serve as a one-stop portal through a single sign-on and single submission for maritime regulatory and port services transactions,” Dnex noted.

Dnex believes that the MMSW project will further complement its existing national single window system, streamlining the processing of international trade through a single window.

It aims to reduce cargo release time, lower the cost of doing business, and enhance the competitiveness and efficiency of the country’s trade network, creating value for industry players and government agencies.
