Sentral-REIT expects tough market ahead


PETALING JAYA: Sentral Real Estate Investment Trust (Sentral-REIT) expects the Klang Valley office and retail markets to remain challenging.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said it will continue to focus on asset management and leasing strategies that are centred on cost optimisation and tenant retention in the current operating environment.

Sentral-REIT reported flat net profit of RM18.2mil in the third quarter ended Sept 30. Revenue in the quarter rose 11.4% year-on-year to RM39.8mil.

Earnings per unit were 1.7 sen. No distribution per unit was declared for the quarter.
