Cradle Fund appoints Norman Matthieu as group CEO

KUALA LUMPUR: Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd has appointed Norman Matthieu Vanhaecke as group chief executive officer (CEO), effective Nov 23, 2023.

Norman has assumed the position of acting group CEO since June 1, 2022.

Cradle is the focal agency of the Malaysian startup ecosystem under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI).

In a statement today, Cradle said before joining the agency in 2020 and assuming the position of head of finance and corporate services, Norman served as an auditor at KPMG and held various key positions in the strategy, finance and management departments for local petroleum companies, as well as multinationals and government agencies.

Cradle chairperson Datuk Yvonne Chia said over the past 18 months, Norman has proven his leadership capabilities as acting group CEO.

"With an encouraging background and track record, I am confident that Norman will lead Cradle towards the nation’s startup agenda and continue to have a positive impact on society, individuals and businesses, in line with the aspirations of Malaysia Madani,” she said. - Bernama
