KUALA LUMPUR: Companies that recently made headlines include YTL, YTL Power, Dialog, Westports, Capital A, Maxim, Serba Dinamik, CIMB, IHH, Hong Leong Bank, HLFG, Alliance Bank, IJM, Datasonic and Senheng, said Apex Securities Research.

YTL Corp Bhd and YTL Power International Bhd will be included as a constituent of the FBM KLCI index, replacing Dialog Group Bhd and Westports Holdings Bhd, following the latest December 2023 semi-annual review of the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Index Series.

Alliance Bank Malaysia Bhd saw its net profit rise 16.98% to RM185.33 million for the second quarter ended Sept 30, 2023 (2QFY2024), due to higher revenue and lower expected credit losses.

IJM Corp Bhd’s net profit for the second quarter ended Sept 30, 2023 (2QFY2024) surged over threefold to RM93.69 million, carried by strong showings from its property development and infrastructure segments.

Datasonic Group Bhd recorded a net profit of RM18.15 million for its second quarter ended Sept 30, 2023 (2QFY2024), down 27.13% from the RM24.91 million it made in the corresponding quarter last year.

Senheng New Retail Bhd’s net profit tumbled 64.56% to RM5.16 million in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2023 (3QFY2023), as it recorded higher operating and administrative expenses amid its expansion plan.
