Bank Islam expands offerings with new partnership

KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd has signed on to be a distribution channel for Amanah Warisan Bhd’s (Awaris) comprehensive inheritance management solutions.

The offering of the service aligns with the bank’s aim to provide complete financial solutions and cater to the diverse needs of its customers, the bank said in a statement.

Bank Islam said it has been distributing Awaris’ platinum and premier will-writing services and its estate-administration service since Dec 28, 2022.

It signed a memorandum of agreement with Awaris to enhance service accessibility and raise public knowledge on the administration of estates planning, specifically in the areas of writing wills and managing inheritances.

“This partnership is essential in assisting customers with their financial management and inheritance matters to ensure the welfare of their lives and rightful heirs.

“Furthermore, the Bank Islam-Awaris collaboration is expected to enhance business growth for both entities and the overall industry,” Bank Islam’s group chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Muazzam Mohamed said.

Awaris chief executive Datuk Ahmad Saruji Abdul Aziz said the main objective of the strategic partnership is to provide a more significant number of Malaysians with high-quality wills, consequently expediting the management of testamentary estates.
