KUALA LUMPUR: ARK Resources Holdings Bhd’s shares surged over 35% in early trade Tuesday, making it among the top gainers on Bursa Malaysia.
The construction engineering company surged 35.19%, or 9.5 sen to 36.5 sen at 11.03 am. Year-to-date, the counter has risen some 34%.
There were no specific corporate announcements from the company to impact the stock movement today.
On Dec 19, the company announced that Bursa Securities had vide its letter approved the extension of time up to July 17, 2024, for the company to complete the private placement.
In the first six months to Sept 30, ARK posted a net profit of RM431,000 compared with a net loss of RM366,000 a year ago while revenue surged to RM38.6mil from RM3.2mil previously.
