Alliance Bank offers flood relief assistance to customers, businesses

KUALA LUMPUR: Alliance Bank Malaysia Bhd has offered a flood relief assistance programme to help ease financial burdens faced by customers and businesses impacted by the recent floods in several states nationwide.

In a statement today, the bank said this would include options of a loan moratorium of up to six months, loan repayment modifications, and waivers of fees and charges for all conventional loans and Islamic financing facilities.

Additionally, it said fees and charges for selected services, such as replacement of debit cards, ATM cards, chequebooks and passbooks lost or damaged during the flood, would be waived.

"We understand the emotional and financial strain on the families and businesses impacted by the flood. We hope the flood relief assistance will help ease some of their financial worries,” said its group chief executive officer Kellee Kam.

The bank said it was also providing assistance to its employees affected by the flood to get through this trying time.

The flood relief assistance is available for application with immediate effect until Jan 26, 2024.

Affected customers may contact the bank’s contact centre at 03-5516 9988 or their relationship managers directly to discuss the relief package that meets their needs. - Bernama
