Gentari buys stake in Taiwan offshore wind project


KUALA LUMPUR: Petroliam Nasional Bhd (PETRONAS) owned clean energy solutions provider Gentari Sdn Bhd, through its subsidiary Gentari International Renewables Pte Ltd, has invested in the Hai Long offshore wind project located off the Changhua coast in the Taiwan Straits.

In a statement, Gentari noted its subsidiary will take a 49% stake in Canada-based Northland Power Inc’s ownership of the project, equivalent to a 29.4% indirect equity interest. The investment cost was not disclosed.
