Kelington wins RM143mil contract in China


KUALA LUMPUR: Kelington Group Bhd has been awarded a contract worth RM143mil from China's largest semiconductor foundry to perform design, procurement, construction and commissioning of gas hookup systems in Shanghai, China.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Kelington said the award was secured by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Kelington Engineering (Shanghai) Co Ltd.

Subject to the actual amount of work carried out, depending on variation orders, scope options and value engineering, Kelington said the job will commence in January 2024 and is expected to be completed by January 2026.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of Kelington for the financial years ending Dec 31, 2024 and Dec 31, 2025 respectively,” it said.
