Avillion appoints Fong Wai Leong as CEO


KUALA LUMPUR: Avillion Bhd has appointed Fong Wai Leong as chief executive officer (CEO) effective Jan 18.

Fong, 54, succeeds Pee See Hoe who resigned to pursue other opportunities.

The property and hospitality group said Fong has over 30 years of experience in the fields of finance, technology and investment. He has developed an extensive network with top entrepreneurs and professionals around the region.

He was the group CEO of PanPages Bhd for nine years. He transformed PanPages business into a digital-focused data and advertising business.

He expanded the footprint of the business from Malaysia to Southeast Asia through acquisition and organic growth. He also forged partnerships with Google and Alibaba.

Fong is a qualified chartered accountant. He is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Avillion has also redesignated Fong as an executive director on Jan 17.
