KUALA LUMPUR: Unitrade Industries Bhd via its wholly-owned subsidiary Syarikat Logam Unitrade Sdn Bhd is exploring a partnership with Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sd Bhd and JJ-LAPP (M) Sdn Bhd.

In a statement, Unitrade said the collaboration aims to explore the business opportunities under Huawei’s cutting-edge digital power-smart photovoltaic (PV) solutions in fostering sustainability practices across residential as well as commercial and industrial (C&I) sectors.

Under a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by the parties, Huawei will act as the technology advisor for the smart PV systems, complemented by JJ-LAPP as the authorised value-added partner to enhance the reach and impact of the solutions within the targeted segments.

Unitrade, meanwhile, will serve as the distribution partner in facilitating broader market access for the Smart PV system.

"This partnership underscores Unitrade's commitment to seizing innovative opportunities within green technology, thereby expanding the group’s product portfolio to include PV modules.

"By continuously implementing practices for zero pollution and reducing reliance on traditional power sources, we strive to foster eco-friendly practices within both residential and C&I sectors,” said Unitrade managing director Nomis Sim Siang Leng.
