KUALA LUMPUR: GDB Holdings Bhd via its wholly-owned subsidiary Grand Dynamic Builders Sdn Bhd has been appointed the main contractor for the development of a private hospital for RM306mil.

In a statement, the construction services firm said it secured the contract from KL International Hospital Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of KL Wellness City Sdn Bhd, the master developer and owner of the KL Wellness City mixed-development in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

It said the construction of the hospital will be carried out over a period of 25 months, starting March 16, 2024.

According to GDB Holdings group managing director Cheah Ham Cheia, the contract marks a significant milestone for the group and will elevate its track record.

"Our ongoing commitment to deliver our projects with high quality and on time remains unwavering to our clients," he said.

GDB said its current orderbook stands at RM475mil, from RM169mil, as at Sept 30, 2023.

The group intends to fund the project with internally generated funds and/or bank borrowings.
