MSM Malaysia Holdings lifts garden leave for CFO


PETALING JAYA: MSM Malaysia Holdings Bhd has lifted the garden leave of its chief financial officer (CFO), Mazatul ‘Aini Shahar Abdul Malek Shahar.

“The CFO shall resume her duties effective from today,” MSM said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia. “MSM will continue its business operations as usual,” it added.

On Jan 15, the sugar producer extended the garden leave of its CFO from Jan 15 to Feb 15 or until further notice from the board.

Mazatul was appointed MSM’s CFO with effect from Dec 1, 2022.

She was the group CFO of Proton Holdings Bhd prior to the merger with Zhejiang Geely Group.

Previously, she was the CFO for Nationwide Express Courier Services Bhd.

Mazatul has more than 26 years of hands-on experience in Islamic banking and finance, fund-raising, transformation management, corporate finance and advisory works.
