ITMAX gets RM47.2mil street lights replacement job

PETALING JAYA: ITMax System Bhd has secured a variation order from Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) for the replacement of LED street lights in Kuala Lumpur, for RM47.20mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, ITMAX said it would replace the LED lights that are broken or those with expired warranties.

“The variation order is expected to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets per share of the company until the expiry of the variation order (VO),” it said.

ITMAX has been involved in the supply, installation and maintenance of networked lighting systems in Kuala Lumpur for DBKL since 2016.

Managing director/chief executive officer William Tan Wei Lun said the group has been working closely with DBKL to enhance the safety and quality of life in Kuala Lumpur with our smart city solutions.

"This VO is one of DBKL’s initiatives to ensure that all LED street lights are fully functional as they play a crucial role in ensuring public and traffic safety. We look forward to working with DBKL to deliver more smart city solutions in the future,” he said in a statement.
