Batik Air reappoints Chandran Rama Muthy as CEO

KUALA LUMPUR: Batik Air has reappointed Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy as chief executive officer (CEO) with effect from Feb 1, 2024.

In a statement, the airline said Chandran returned to the role of CEO for Batik Air Malaysia, taking the reins from Captain Mushafiz Mustafa Bakri, who has been promoted as safety director at Lion Air Group.

Chandran was the first CEO of Batik Air, (formerly known as Malindo Air), since its inception in 2013 to August 2019. He was then promoted to the position of group strategy director at Lion Air Group.
