Unitrade acquires 2-acre land for RM7.84mil to develop centralised labour quarter solutions


PETALING JAYA: Unitrade Industries Bhd is acquiring a two-acre plot of land in Sungai Buloh, Selangor from Nomis Sim Siang Leng and Simson Sim Xian Zhi, both directors of Unitrade and Perfect CLQ, for RM7.84mil.

In a statement, Unitrade said the proposed acquisition is poised to support the group’s venture into the provision of centralised labour quarter (CLQ), which is a prefabricated housing solution that effectively addresses workers' accommodation issues.

“The group now plans to construct its own CLQ on the said land, comprising seven blocks of three-storey modular houses, along with essential amenities like site offices, canteens, convenient stores, clinics, laundry rooms, and utility rooms. With a total built-up area of 67,611 sq ft, the CLQ will be rented out as workers’ accommodation upon completion.
