Mitrajaya gets RM87mil data centre contract

PETALING JAYA: Mitrajaya Holdings Bhd (MHB) has accepted and executed a works contract with Lendlease Projects (M) Sdn Bhd for the foundation works of a data centre project here worth RM86.63mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, MHB said the contract would commence on June 13, 2024 and is expected to complete by Dec 15, 2025.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of MHB group for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2024 and 2025.

“The contract will not have an effect on the share capital and shareholding structure of MHB.”

The group added that the risks associated with the contract are normal operational risks, which can be mitigated through its system of project management controls.

“The board of directors of MHB is of the opinion that the acceptance of the contract is in the best interest of MHB group,” it said.
